About Jaime

Jaime Simpson is a qualified counsellor (ACA level 4), individual and group supervisor (RiseUp), intercultural trainer, and academic consultant currently based in Sydney. Jaime's focus is counselling people living with anxiety, domestic violence victims/survivors, clients living with spiritual / religious trauma and providing training and support to professionals developing their careers within this industry. Jaime is also a unit coordinator and online learning advisor for the Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Responses at QUT

Jaime has developed psychoeducational programs such as 'Connecting with my Teen', 'Parenting Stress', and' Focus on the Spouse,' which is a program for "trailing spouses" that focuses on transition stress and the life-changing impact that an overseas assignment has on the family unit.

Jaime is currently completing her Master of Philosophy via research and holds a Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence, Master of Counselling (MOC), Bachelor's Degree in Counselling (B.Coun), and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, majoring in child development and parenting. Jaime also has qualifications in Advanced Practice in Male Family Violence Interventions, sexual violence, addiction counselling, suicide prevention training, religious trauma, crisis response counselling, and a variety of counselling interventions (DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (1 & 2) and level 1 and 2 of Gottman Marriage Therapy)

Jaime is also a certified counselling supervisor and coach through CoachU University, as well as the parent as Coach Academy. and holds a Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, and is a MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) assessor and Diploma in Human Resources and Administration.

Jaime is the author of a children’s book “A Monster Named Zee”....
