Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Mental Health Care plans and Medicare is unfortunatley not available for counselling appointments in Australia. If you need to use a medicare rebate please see your GP and ask for a referall to a Clinical Psychologist or mental health social worker.

  2. Individual counselling sessions are 1 hour long completed via Teams or Zoom.

  3. A invoice will be sent after your session. You can pay for your session within 24 hours after your session. The invoice will have the direct depoist link for you to pay directly. If you are a victim services client Jaime will manage this process.

  4. A client intake form must be filled in before our first session together. This will be emailed directly to you when you make your first booking.

  5. Cancellation: I undertand life happens and sometimes you need to cancel. I request you cancel 48 hours before your session. If you would like a email or text message reminder 48 hours beforehand, in agreement, I will provide this for your reminder. Sessions that are cancelled within without notice there is a 50% session fee.

  6. Lateness: If running late to the session, the session is 1 hour, if late, and Jaime has no other client, she may be able to continue your session for the full hour. However, if there is another session booked in after you, the session will end at the end of your original booking.

  7. Confidentiality: As a member of the ACA, the counsellor adheres to the ACA Code of ethic around confidentiality. Confidentiality is assured, except in the following situations where disclosure is legally or ethically required:

    ·      If you disclose intent to harm yourself or others

    ·      If there is suspicion or disclosure of child abuse, elder abuse, or neglect (mandatory reporting laws apply)

    ·      If a court subpoenas session records

    ·      Counsellors may also seek supervision (without revealing your identity) to ensure the best therapeutic practice.
